After he finished his master’s degree in fashion technology and management from Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT). In 2014, Ives first visited Vidal Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica., California. he decided to get a haircut there and he met Traci Sakosits, North American Creative Director , who happens to be cutting someone hair next to him.  Ives was impressed with how beautiful Traci cut that iconic Vidal Sassoon bob  and strikes up a conversation which culminated in Ives deciding to start a new life by enrolling at Sassoon Academy to study Cosmetology.

                A year later, Ives graduated from Sassoon Academy with honors at the top of his class then soon landed a job assisting a celebrity colorist in well-known beverly hills salons in Los Angeles that includes Salon Benjamin, Ramirez Tran, Alen M. Bomane salon From those jobs, Ives put his training from Sassoon Academy to use by perfecting his craft of hair-coloring, cutting and styling. Ives have always had a love for fashion and the latest trends in the beauty industry. He keeps his knowledge current by taking advance training courses from world renown hairdressers like Sharon Blain in order to pursue his fashion editorial hairstyling techniques.  He also continues taking advance cutting classes at Vidal Sassoon update his craft.

               The portfolio of hair coloring Ives has the privilege of working on include these color palettes: blonde, Asian blonde, California beach blonde, brunette and red.

               He employs his best techniques to focus on the small details for best natural looking result that includes sun-kissed,baby light highlight, color contour and the magic of  face framing. technique.
